A lot of people are enamored over Prime Minister Netanyahu's speech that he gave in Congress. While he spoke well and got perhaps over 30 standing ovations, there are some very troubling matters to take note of.
In his speech, PM Netanyahu goes on to state:
"I am willing to make painful compromises to achieve this historic peace. As the leader of Israel, it's my responsibility to lead my people to peace. ...I recognize, that in a genuine peace, we will be required to give up parts of the ancestral Jewish Homeland. ...In Judea & Samaria, the Jewish People are not foreign occupiers. We are not the British in India, we are not the Belgians in the Congo. This is the land of our forefathers, the Land of Israel... ....No distortion of history ....can deny the 4,000 year old bond between the Jewish people and the Jewish Land."
He also stated earlier, that we "will not return to the indefensible borders of 1967".
So IF he states that Judea & Samaria are our ancestral homeland, then why does he agree to give it up for a promise of peace?
In addition, no one talks about the fact that he is he going against his own party, the Likud's platform which the people of Israel voted into the government. No where does the Likud party platform state it that it supports the Two State Solution. In fact, the Likud party's platform states the opposite when it comes to (Judea & Samaria) settlements. It states as follows:
The Jewish communities in Judea, Samaria and Gaza are the realization of Zionist values. Settlement of the land is a clear expression of the unassailable right of the Jewish people to the Land of Israel and constitutes an important asset in the defense of the vital interests of the State of Israel. The Likud will continue to strengthen and develop these communities and will prevent their uprooting.
This video below is old, but that is why it is a GEM. Why? Because this was put out by the Israeli government's IDF spokesman's unit itself, showing why keeping Judea & Samaria, as well as the Golan, was essential to Israel's survival. The first minute is scratchy, but stick with it, you won't be sorry.
Our great prophet, Isaiah, said exactly how we will have peace in chapter 32 verse 17 where he states: "The product of righteousness shall bring peace; and the effect of righteousness, quiet and security forever."
Giving away our G-d given ancestral inheritance to murderers will not bring peace.
Isaiah teaches us that peace is not a goal, it's an outcome, a state of being when living life properly. Just like one cannot obtain happiness by chasing after an illusion of happiness, one cannot obtain peace by chasing after an illusion of peace. Peace is a product, an outcome of the right way of living. The nations of the world should not be demanding the creation of a terrorist state, rather, they should be pursuing justice and punishing terrorists, not rewarding them. Emboldening terrorists, strengthening them, and creating a base for them to flourish, will bring on more destruction. We will never obtain peace that way. Therefore, this Two State Solution is 'The Final Solution'.
