Strength, Not Weakness, As We Enter This New Year

As we go into the Yom Kippur, Day of Atonement Holiday, I wish you all to gain strength during this time.  Do not go into the holiday thinking you and the nation of Israel are weak.  G-d loves us so much, and He has given us this holiday to reach deep inside ourselves, to repent, ask for forgiveness, and to pull out the strength and desire to win our inner and outer battles.  Yom Kippur is a day not only of atonement, but of strengthening our commitment to live for G-d and to observe His Torah.  It is a day of strengthening our commitment to change ourselves to be better.

It is with this hope that I say to us all, that we pray deeply to find that super-human strength inside of us, to turn from our evil ways, turn from the roads that chase after materialistic acquirements and move us in a direction away from the Holy One Blessed Be He.  May we take the more simpler and truthful road towards being close with G-d and make this world a better and safer place by living by His will. 

Each of us were given talents and an enormous potential to do good and make a difference in the world, when we were born.  Let us find those talents and strengths and sincerely use and direct them to do good, not feed our trivial and mundane pursuits.  G-d wants us to be kind, be decent, and be moral.  On a larger scale, that morality flows over into ensuring justice in this world so that all mankind, all our brothers and sisters (we all stem from Noah, and before that, from Adam and Eve) can live safely and peacefully. Courts of law must be set up so people can find justice when they have been wronged or victimized. It is our responsibility to ourselves and our children.
They come with chariots and horses, but we come with the Name of G-d

In this period of history, we see many frightening things happening. The devastating financial crisis on a global level, crime, violence, perversity, and wars. There are nations today who are intolerant and want to wage war using terrorists, rockets and even nuclear weapons on freedom loving people. They perpetrate crimes against humanity, and it is our responsibility to find the strength and put a stop to this evil.

This Yom Kippur, as we stand in synagogue in fasting and prayer for this next year, let us not look to presidents, friends or allies to protect us.  Let us take our eyes away from the White House, the International Community, or the Knesset to save us.  Instead, let us look UP.  To the only ONE, the Master of the Universe, the only one who we can trust in, the only one who has, and can, save us. 

May we gird ourselves with the knowledge and strength that G-d is there, if only we call upon Him, and may we not feel defeatism. May we gird ourselves with trust, not fear. Truth, not convenient lies.  May we appoint G-d, the KING of all kings, over us.  And may we walk in righteousness to do His will, bring justice to this world, and improve our ways on the personal and more general levels.

There are nations today with powerful militaries.  They posses many soldiers, many tanks, many missiles and nuclear weapons, and they wish to destroy us.  But we, the tiny nation of Israel, will chant this verse that our own King David wrote for us in times like these:

 Psalm 20:8 "They come with chariots and horses, but we come with the Name of G-d..." 

We are living in tiny Israel,  surrounded in a sea of Arab Muslim states who gnash their teeth in wait to destroy us. But G-d holds an umbrella of strength over us, if we just look up. And so, when we have to go to battle our enemies, we shall remember, we come with the name of G-d, or more literally, "These with chariots and these with horses, but in the name of Hashem, our G-d, we call out. They dropped to their knees and fell, but we AROSE and were invigorated!" (Psalm 20:8) 

May we go from strength to strength! Wishing you all a year full of blessings for all good things, and finding that inner strength and trust in G-d to merit it.

Videos You Should See

**UPDATE: The OBAMA YOUTH video (below) was mysteriously removed from Youtube!  Now why do you think it was taken down?

Here are some interesting videos to see.  The first one is of a new OBAMAYOUTH, which some people compare to the Hitler Youth.  I myself don't want to make this comparison.  Obama is not saying that Jews are vermin (at least publicly).  However, it is a bit disturbing to see these youth in military duds.  Hmmmm.

The sky will fall if you don't vote now.

This second video is of a Rep. Brad Sherman saying that they are using 'panic' and Martial Law to pressure the House to pass the bail out bill.  It actually makes a lot of sense.  Want something done fast with no one having a lot of time to snoop into your 400+ page (phone book size) $700 billion bail out bill and find something sneaky slipped in there? Put them in a panic, turn up the pressure, tell them the sky is going to fall and brand them as 'unpatriotic' if they ask too many questions. I love it.  Politics is so dirty.

ISRAEL, A 'STINKING CORPSE'
And lastly, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad stated that Israel is a 'stinking corpse' doomed to disappear. He wants to kill the Jews.  He wants to destroy Israel (the Little Satan).  Then he wants to destroy America (the Big Satan).  Iran's nuclear reactor must be destroyed as soon as possible BEFORE he can kill us Infidels.  

It would be much more humane and merciful to the world if the reactor was destroyed first, before there could be retaliation on a nuclear scale from both sides. We must destroy their nuclear capability as soon as possible.

Americans Under Martial Law

It is true, not all of Americans were put under Martial law.  Yet.  But some Americans were.  Your Representatives.

According to news reports, Martial Law was clamped on the Members of the House of Representatives.  They were being pressed to vote on the bill to stem the financial crisis in America.  The dangerous thing about the use of martial law in this instance, is that your representatives are being coerced to a vote on the bill before they had a reasonable chance to read through it, which is over 400 pages long.  Not only are they being denied a reasonable chance to go through the bill before a vote, the American People cannot have a chance to read through it either.  That goes for journalists as well.  In essence, the powers that be, are trying to pass this bill in a sneaky, despicable manner.  Kind of reminds me of the way the Federal Reserve Act was passed back in 1913, just before the Christmas holiday when most of the government representatives were either on vacation or running to get home.  That vote too, passed like a thief in the night.  

Fast forward to Sept./Oct. 2008 and we are seeing another, 'Use any trick, but get the darned bill signed and passed'.

This is what 'Martial Law' means regarding the present bill to bail out Wall Street...  "Under this [Martial Law] procedure, longstanding House rules that require at least one day between the unveiling of significant legislation and the House floor vote on that legislation are swept away.  Instead, under 'martial law', the Leadership can file legislation with hundreds of pages of fine print and move immediately to debate and vote on it, before Members of Congress, the media, or the public have an opportunity to understand fully what provisions have been altered or inserted in the legislation behind closed doors.  This is the procedure the Leadership hopes to use today to muscle through these bills."

"Rep. Michael Burgess (R-TX) reports from the floor of the House that the Republicans have been cut out of the process and called unpatriotic for not blindly supporting the fraudulent bailout. He says the only debate has been about what talking points to use on the American people. The most ominous revelation is when he claims the Speaker has declared martial law."

"I have been thrown out of more meetings in this capital in the last 24 hours than I ever thought possible, as a duly elected representative of 825,000 citizens of north Texas." Said Congressman Burgess.

Burgess asks the Speaker of the House to post the bailout bill on the internet for at least 24 hours instead of passing the largest piece of legislation in US financial history in the "dark of night."

The most frightening part of Rep. Burgess' one-minute floor speech is when he says, "Mr. Speaker I understand we are under Martial Law as declared by the speaker last night."

Also, did you all see this article from Reuters? "China Banks Told to Halt Lending to US Banks-SCMP"  Alas, the once great America is spiralling down, perhaps never to be the great power it was ever again.

As for your possible next president, Barack Obama, did you know that he has, in the spirit of 'freedom', formed a professional gang of sherriffs and prosecutors to hunt you down if you state 'misleading' things about him, like that he is a Muslim?  (According to Islamic Law, he takes the religion of his father. But don't bring it up, or you might be brought up on charges [wink]).  Well, if Obama doesn't like what you say about him, he just may sic his hounds on you.  However, lest you think he is a fascist, he calls his pack of wolves by a 'nice' cosmetic name, ....'TheTruth Squad'.  See this 2 minute video below.

Here's another thing to scare you about your freedoms under an Obama presidency:  Obama doesn't want you listening to conservative talk radio.  A quote I found says he stated in a speech, "The one thing that I want to insist on is that, as I travel around the country, the American people are a decent people. Now they get confused sometimes. You know, they listen to the wrong talk radio shows or watch the wrong TV networks, um, but they're, they're basically decent, they're basically sound." - Barack Hussein Obama   So, better not listen to Arutz Sheva either.  He may send his Truth Squad on you.
