      Egypt: 57 Years Later

      by Tamar Yonah

"On July 23, 1952 people of Egypt woke up to a message being aired over Egyptian airwaves stating that a military group made up of free officers took over the country."

The following is an article written by a former guest I interviewed on my show:, Dottore Architetto Ashraf Ramelah, President of "Voice of the Copts".    He writes about the plight of the Copts (Christian Egyptians) under Moslem-Egyptian rule.  I myself, am not Christian and therefore do not agree with the same things that they do, but I thought this article was a good reminder for us all to see what kind of neighbors Israel has to contend with. All photos, cartoons, and videos were added by me (for THIS blog) and NOT by the author. You can add any comments you have below.

      Egypt: 57 Years Later

This Thursday will mark the 57th anniversary of a sad hour of Egyptian history in the 20th century.  On July 23, 1952 people of Egypt woke up to a message being aired over Egyptian airwaves stating that a military group made up of free officers took over the country. The announcer was no other than a person who would win a Nobel Peace Prize for a peace treaty he made with Israel in 1978 -- Anwar El Sadat.

Mr. Sadat would also become the third out of four presidents Egyptian would have in the 20th century.  He was also a member of this military group who's leader was General Mohammed Naugib. This broadcast started at 7:30 am stating that there was a revolution currently in action aimed to depose a king who was corrupted and to improve Egypt for all Egyptians.

The leader of the younger officers was Gamal Abdel Nasser who was also part of the infamous Muslim Brotherhood, which was also a partner of the Nazis and had helped the Nazis escape the Allies' jurisdiction to eventually settle in Egypt and in South America. He had also formed a coalition with Naugib which would eventually avoid any problems with other officers who did not care for his ideas.

The major declared goal of this "revolution" was to improve the military's income and protest against the king.  Sadat, who was never one for bloodshed or conflicts would disappear into a movie theater, however, to make sure that he was not a part of that group (in case of the coup was to be unsuccessful). He had purposely started a fight with another man so that there would be a police report made on him to assure an alibi.

Most of the world knows all about Nasser and his ideas. After a year of the King's dethronement, Nasser eventually deposes General Naugib and became the second "President" of Egypt.

      How was this successful?
There are many reasons.  One, Egypt was going through a critical period of history.  There was a lot of instability, mischief and corruption throughout the government.  Two, Egypt was losing all battles it had started with the newly created Jewish State of Israel which became a black eye to the ego of Egypt and of the population.  And third, the Egyptian army was defected and ineffective to the Jewish militia who even though in rags and in second-hand military equipment, knew similar to that of a chess game what would be the best moves.

Above: 'Nasser Kicking Israel Into The Sea' (I found this on the web and don't know which anti-semitic Moslem-Arab media source to accredit this cartoon to.)

Gamal Abdel Nasser was a member of the Muslim Brotherhood and had been taught by its religious leader, the former close friend of Adolph Hitler, Haji al Husseini the vast hatred of Jews, Christians, Zoroastrians, and Atheists.
In the beginning of 1956, the European Cold War between the USSR and the United States, Britain and Europe started. The US knowing the President of Egypt and his group's background tried to entice him to stand with them against the USSR and other Soviet Bloc countries to block any communistic infiltration in the Middle East and especially in using the Suez Canal.
The US backed Egypt to become a part of the International Bank and to facilitate international investment in the country as well as to implement a huge irrigation project which was to be given to the countries along the Nile River.

It is no secret that President Nasser ever cared at all about Egypt or its economy. There was only one goal - to annihilate Israel once and for all - murdering the Jews and infidels. Nasser attempted to use the bank to buy enormous quantities of military arms and supplies from the US. However, the US, had to refuse Nasser’s demand. Nasser having been refused went to China, one of US’s enemy at the time.

With the help of China, Egypt was able to start to obtain new military equipment, but in this process the International Bank withdrew the financial opportunity to build a dam that in the long run would have benefited nearly ten African countries.

On the advice of China, Nasser travels to Czechoslovakia (then a Soviet Bloc country) where he signs an army contract to buy USSR made arsenal. He felt sure that his plans were taking place and there was no stopping him and with Allah's blessing - his goal of destroying all Jews and infidels was at hand.

         Suez Canal

He had decided to nationalize the Suez Canal at this time (1956) without honoring any earlier international agreement. He had established with a young relation of Haji al Husseini by the name of Yassir Arafat many guerilla (terrorist) cells to attack any English properties in Egypt as well as inside Israel. These cells would go and attack villages in Israel and in English facilities in Egypt.

Israel started defending herself, attacking the cells. The Israeli military started to follow the attackers going into Egyptian territory. In October 1956, Israel entered the Sinai which would become two great battles.  The battles were Al Contellah and Ras Al Mounkab.

The world started learning a new Arabic word.  The guerrillas were called the Fedayeen.  The United Kingdom requested that Egypt respect the independence agreement and protect the international vessels from attack in the Suez Canal, as well as the air space, railroads and roads.  Nasser decided to annul all agreements and declared all English military bases in Egypt will now be Egyptian.

This meant that now the UK would have to attack Egypt in order to protect their property and personnel. At this same time, France had captured a ship from Romania which was carrying Soviet arsenal and Egyptian secret service agents.  This ship proved to the French government that Egypt was helping to support Algerians who were fighting the French. France had decided to attack Egypt and destroy all its weapon depots.

The USSR saw a great opportunity to defended Egypt by giving an ultimatum to the UK, France and Israel to cease or else.  As we all know -- it ended as a stalemate.

However, since this time, 1956 to today in 2009 the government of Egypt has honored this day to celebrate a victory against three countries.  Even though it was a true stalemate, to the "Arab" mind and that of any terrorist, it was a victory. The truth in Arab world is their own made-up truth, as we have seen with all Arab leaders’ speeches that at any given time the facts are turned around to complement their own benefit.

In conclusion, one will notice that

The Egyptian revolution was not more than a military coup performed by a group of young militaries to improve their income. The true goal of the revolution was not to improve Egyptian life but to fight the newly created Jewish State of Israel and the infidel population in and out of Egypt. The Fadayeen groups (terrorist cells) were initiated by Nasser. The attacks from Israel, the UK and France were a chain reaction generated due to the actions of the Egyptian government. In reading the true accounts, there have been many excursions made by Nasser against Israel.  The greatest and most famous of them all happened in 1967, otherwise known as the Six Day War.

Tired of Praying to a Wall

      by Tamar Yonah

It was sometime after 4am and I was awake at the computer because I had gotten up to have a quick breakfast before the fast of the 17th of Tammuz.  This fast day marks the breaching of the walls of Jerusalem, as well as the beginning of the grueling Three Weeks of mourning.  It ends with the fast of Tisha B'Av, the 9th of the month of Av when our Holy Temple was destroyed by the Romans and the subsequent 2,000 year Exile .

As I was on the computer, I got an instant message from a rabbi friend of mine (we are actually related) and he wrote me this:

4:40 AM Rabbi: I'm sick of fasting. Let's just build the Temple instead.

Me: ha! I am with you!

Rabbi: I can't stand the "mourning game." Well sorry for attacking you at this hour; just had to get it off my chest before going to shul (synagogue) and seeing all the people wailing over the Temple as if they cared; when I try to talk to them about it say, in December, they look at me like I'm crazy; but now in the Three Weeks it's politically correct in Orthodox circles to act as if it's important.

Me: you have no idea how much you are appreciated!

      Rabbi: oh go on, now.

Me: I would love to be a fly on the wall when you do say that to the other Jews.  I think we all need to keep hearing this, to wake us from our stupor. We learn it is a mitzvah to build the Temple and we even learn that the Second Temple was empty, didn't have the Holy Ark or the Show Bread, yet we still built it and had it, so why can't we build the Temple today?  When we came back to Israel from Persia (after the Purim story) we built the Temple.  We didn't wait for it to be dropped from heaven, or until the Messiah came.

Rabbi: May we collectively start acting Jewish

      Me: amen!

4:48 AM Rabbi: That is exactly true, the mitzva is beckoning to us in every generation, no less now then it was then, and we have become as a people so twisted in thinking, that we think that halachically (the code of Jewish law) there is a problem, when in reality halachically we are supposed to begin building.

      (end of instant messenger conversation)

So, my friends, we are really acting pathetically today.  Why do we settle to pray and worship at a wall that sits below our holiest place on earth, where our Temple stood?  I am tired of settling for praying at a 'wall'.  Yes, it's the Kotel, the Holy Western Wall, but with all due respect, I want more.  I want the real deal.  I want G-d's house and I want His presence, His Shechina, hovering here with us.

These three weeks, we are supposed to be immersed in mourning.  As Rabbi Richman stated on his last show of Temple Talk, he said that most people think something like, 'oy, the three weeks, let's just try to get through this as fast and painless as we can."  But this is the time to really feel and yearn for the Third Temple.  He continued saying that how will we merit the Third Temple, if we don't really yearn for it?

Losing our Temple, should be like losing our spouse ...G-d forbid.  We should be looking towards the Temple Mount and crying and pacing back and forth like someone in shock, after losing their partner in life.  We should be looking at the void on the Temple Mount (not at the big gold pimple) and say to ourselves, "How can I go on?  Oh my gosh! We have lost our Temple!  We have lost the Shechina (G-d's  hovering presence) from our midst!"  We should be feeling as if we can't continue, like if we G-d forbid lost our spouse.  We should be asking ourselves as we pace nervously, "How can I go on?  How can I fill this void in my life?  Oh my, we need our Temple!"  THIS is what we should be feeling, this yearning for not settling to pray at an outside surrounding 'Western Wall'.  We want to go UP!  We want HaShem to dwell with us again.

Every morning, in addition when I pray, I look towards Har HaBayit, the Temple Mount, and I add to my morning prayers, "Please G-d, bring us the Moshiach (the Messiah) and let us have the Holy Temple back. We need it so badly!"

But do most of us yearn for building G-d's house?  Everyone here is worried about buying their own house, re-doing their kitchen, or renovating their home, but what about G-d's house?  Why doesn't anyone worry about building HIS house?  How do we continue to 'settle' for the wall, when we should be yearning, crying, aching for the Holy Temple?

We are already a (modern) state for over 60 years, and yet we are still content to pray at a wall.

Can you imagine what G-d might say if He really saw the Jewish people not sit and be content with the Kotel? And instead we demanded that the government allocate the money and build the Temple, and thumb our nose to the world if any of them so much as say 'boo'??  Looking down on us, G-d might tell the angels, "Look!  My children want the Holy Temple back!  They want me to return to them, as they are returning to me.  They are willing to get their heads bashed in, they are willing to not settle for mediocrity, and they call for me.  I will respond.  I have been waiting for you, my Holy Children, to desire Me and now that you call upon me, I will grant you the privilege of having my Temple once again, and this Temple will be a place where the whole world will come to.  Because you have showed me your yearning and your actions and willingness to sacrifice for it and I will reward you with it."

      Wouldn't that just be something?

And let's remember, that even if we can't convince our leaders to be courageous and forge ahead with building the Temple, just SPEAKING and YEARNING about it could help.  Remember, G-d SPOKE the world into being. He did not take his hands and mold planets and stars, He SPOKE the world into being, "And G-d said, Let there be light."

So even if we can't actually go and get the permission to build it, we can still speak and yearn for it in our prayers, but really mean it.  Wouldn't that just be what G-d would want?

And wouldn't the building, or at least REAL yearniing for the Temple be helping the revealment of G-d in this world, and thus we would have a more peaceful world where mankind can finally understand that G-d is one and His name is one?  Yah, I am ready, I am yearning, and I am tired of praying to a wall.

      What Do You Think?

      by Tamar Yonah

There is an Israeli commerical ad for Cellcom cell phones being broadcast presently in Israel which has a very big debate going on because of it.  Some say the ad is sweet showing that Israel wants to have peace with it's neighbors and that our soldiers would much rather play ball than have to guard borders.  The other side says that the ad is demeaning to the Arabs because you don't see them in the ad, and that it belittles the middle east conflict, because the security wall is such a strong symbol, and the Arabs are upset about that.  The security wall which protects Israel from terrorist infiltrations is a hated thing by the Arabs.  They say that this ad shows Israelis can play ball near it and turn it into a 'nice' thing and not the 'deplorable' wall that they claim it is.

Watch the ad below.  What do you think?

Here's another ad just for you to get a feel of another Cellcom commerical.  It is saying that families are the most important thing, and they have a family plan for phones, because families need to be able to stay in touch.

The New Middle East & The NWO? Heaven Help Us.

      by Tamar Yonah

I did a radio program this morning on the false prophets of today, mainly the ones many think of as the 'enlightened'.  These 'Enlightened Ones, the ones who hob nob with the 'Beautiful People' of today, are propelling mankind to live under a globalized and central 'one world government', or a 'New World Order'.  One of the people who I believe is pushing Israel towards a NWO is Shimon  Peres.  If you missed the program, listen to it here below.  This 'new middle east' that he talks about goes against Torah, in that the 'enlightened ones' want the Jewish people to rely on other nations for their sustenance, and not G-d.  Here are my thoughts on the issue.

After hearing the audio above, watch the speech yourself, hearing how Peres says that our youth should "watch out for your parents, your teachers and your friends".   Meaning, do not let them influence you, as technology and science are the new gods, and the future is yours to actualize this, so don't let history, parents or teachers sway you from your dreams of a new reality in the world, a reality where the age of borders and land are old fashioned.  isn't this what the NWO pushes, no more borders????  He also basically states that history is  irrelevant, so if you want to remember history, just buy a computer to store it, but then go on and forge a new future.  He also states that G-d is not 'reliable' ( 8:50 into the speech) and that "He drives us crazy".  This is what he wants to impart to our youth.

Speaking about youth and the NWO agenda of throwing out G-d's word and re-writing what is moral (like in the story of the Tower of Babel),  the EU attacked Poland for being homophobic.  They were referring to a move by Poland, a more traditional catholic country, for putting a stop to homosexuals coming into Polish schools and pushing the homosexual agenda on their youth.  The European Union vilified Poland as "hateful" and "repulsive"  for refusing and forbidding homosexual propaganda in their schools.  Poland's minister of education responded that "One must limit homosexual propaganda so that children won't have an improper view of family".  But this is not acceptable to the EU and ITS values.  Hindering homosexuality goes against their commandment of, "Thou shalt not be politically incorrect"  and "Thou shalt not stop homosexual propaganda".
      But this is what you get, when nations who clearly have different values, especially religious ones, cannot remain sovereign and free to practice them, under a NWO which redefines what is right and wrong.  Today's enlightened want us to think;

      sexual promiscuity =  'sexual experimentation'
homosexuality 'an abomination'  = 'alternative lifestyle'
stripper  = an 'exotic' dancer.  So much nicer to say to one's neighbor when asked what their daughter is doing now-a-days that "Our daughter is an exotic dancer", than saying, "Our daughter is a stripper."
      Pornography = ' art '
Pornography also = 'adult entertainment' - It's so much of a nicer and innocent term.

Our prophet Isaiah states in chapter 5 verse 20,  "Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!"

The King of Persia Will Destroy the World

      by Tamar Yonah

      WORLD WAR III

A three hour [nuclear?] war.  Two thirds of the world's population destroyed? The West obliterated? Is this what the King of Persia [Iran] will do?

A few shows back, I read out one of the more famous predictions of what mankind may face in the future during the Messianic era. It was taken from MEDRISH “YALKUT SHIMONI” (Yeshiya 60). I roughly translated it from the Hebrew on air, but I now received a better and complete translation in my email inbox just yesterday already in English, so I am reposting this article from  www.torahnews.org here:

      WORLD WAR THREE

      MEDRISH “YALKUT SHIMONI” (Yeshiya 60):

“Rabbi Yitzhak said: The year that  Melech HaMoshiach will be revealed, all the kings of the nations of the world will provoke each other. The king of Persia [in modern times they changed the name of their country to “Iran”] will threaten the king of Arabia [today called “Saudi” Arabia] and because of this the king of Arabia will go to the king of Edom [USA] for advice.

Afterwards the king of Persia will destroy [most of] the world. The remaining nations will be hysterical and frantic and fall on their faces and will be seized as if by “birth pains”.

And the people of Israel will be frantic and hysterical and they will say, where will we come and go? Where will be come and go?

And Hashem will say to them: Do not fear my children, do not fear. All that I have done I did only for you. Why are you afraid? The time for your Redemption has come!

      THE EXPLANATION OF THIS MEDRISH:

Rabbi Yitzhak said [about 2000 years ago!]:

The year that  Melech HaMoshiach will be revealed [what is expected to happen in the world at the time when Melech HaMoshiach will be revealed], all the kings of the nations of the world will provoke1 each other [the threats of war among the nations will be heard in every corner of the world throughout the countries and between one another].

      SUMMARY OF THE DEVELOPMENTS

[The numbers in parenthesis refer to further explanations found in the Hebrew version]

PHASE 1   (2) King of Persia [Leader of Iran] (4) will threaten (3) the King of Arabia [threats of war against the king of Saudi Arabia (which is the only Arab country which still has the name “Arabia”)]

PHASE 2   (5) The king of Arabia goes to Edom to get advice from them [The king of Saudi Arabia goes to the Western countries, which are led by America, to consult about how to act against the threat of war from Iran].

PHASE 3   “And King of Persia goes back (6) and destroys the whole world [it is clear that you cannot destroy the whole world with conventional weapons. It means to annihilate the world with nuclear weapons. ["and destroys the whole world"– the meaning isn’t actually the whole world, the meaning is "most of it is as all of it", meaning to destroy most of the countries of the world]”.

“And all the nations of the world will be frantic and hysterical and “falling on their faces” and will be as if seized by (7) something like birth pains [a terrible and horrified fear that was unknown until now will grasp all the remaining nations - lest they too will die in a nuclear war (because they will be unable to protect themselves from the nuclear explosion and the radioactivity that will be formed)].

And the people of Israel will be frantic and hysterical [because of the terrible fear that will be in the world that Iran (Persia) will also attack Israel]. And they will say, where will we come and go [since there will be no possibility to find help or support and there will be no natural way to be saved - and about this situation it is said "we have no one to rely on except our Father in Heaven"] and they will say: “Where will be come and go?” [The Medrish repeats this twice to emphasize the helplessness and fear that will be then].

And Hashem will say to them [HaKadosh Baruch Hu to the people of Israel]:  do not fear my children [you have nothing to fear], all that I have done I did only for you [HaKadosh Baruch Hu calms Israel, that all the destruction of war was only for your good - to destroy the wicked Kingdom of Edom and to remove evil from this world and make it possible for the Melech HaMoshiach to be revealed and rule over the world] Why are you afraid? “The time  for your Redemption has come!”

CAN WE SEE THIS HAPPENING NOW?

In order that one should not think these words of the Medrish are incompatible with the reality of our days, it is important to clarify what often appears in the media regarding the “King of Persia” (President of Iran) and  about the "mahdi".

The current president of Iran since his election has declared several times in public, that the main purpose of his government is to promote the arrival of the "mahdi", and for this purpose all military and economical resources will be given. He also said in the UN Assembly (September 25, 2007) that very soon the powerful Western countries will fall and be destroyed.

According to his belief and the belief of the radical cult that he is part of, the way to bring "the mahdi"  (the Shiite "messiah” who is supposedly, according to their distorted beliefs, going to impose the region of Islam on the whole world) is by creating a situation of chaos with local and international destruction. That is why the President of Iran says they must ignite a local war and then destroy the Western world (which in his opinion is the root of all evil) using nuclear bombs.

This threat isn’t just an ideology or idle talk. Recently there was an article in the press that Israeli Intelligence has concrete information that Iran has a secret nuclear reactor that it is producing there nuclear warheads for rockets.

As it is known today, the government of Iran is made up only from the people of this cult who believe in this "mahdi" ideology. Whoever doubts this is dismissed from the government (as was the commander of the Iranian revolutionary guards; he was removed from his position and replaced by someone loyal to the President of Iran ym"s)

Another interesting item that often appeared in the world press: astrologists see something amazing:  very soon the Western world will be destroyed by Iran by nuclear weapons (this corresponds exactly with the words of the Medrish above). To differentiate, lately there have been a few Tzaddikim in our generation who also say that soon there will be a nuclear war outside of Israel and in Eretz Yisroel will be the “selection” that was foretold in the prophesy of Zecharia (13:8) and Isaiah 6 ("v'od ba assirya etc" –see Kesubos 112b) by an earthquake, terrifying in its power, unlike anything known in the past.

In view of all this, it is clear that the words of this Medrish: "and the King of Persia returns and destroys the whole world" are very realistic and in light of ongoing world events, it is quite possible that this will actually happen in the near future.

There is also another striking event related to this in the words of our Torah Sages of 2000 years ago (in Yalkut Shimoni Shs”h 4:988) "Rabbi Barchiya said: in three hours in the future HaKadosh Baruch Hu will punish Esav and his men."  Thus our Torah Scholars (z"l) tell us here that the destruction of the evil Kingdom of Edom will be accomplished "in three hours".

It is very possible that a nuclear war, as mentioned above, could last only 3 hours and in that time, the evil Kingdom of Edom could be destroyed . It is known from our sages z”l [Malbim, Abarbanel etc.] that today Esav is America, the countries of Europe and the West.

NOTE: When the Medrish says "and destroys the world", it doesn’t mean "the whole world, literally"; it means according to the Talmudic axiom “most of it is considered as all of it”. One can understand the words of the Midrash from the prophesy of Zecharia (13:8) "and there was throughout Land the words of HaShem, "two parts [of the world] will be cut off and destroyed and a third of it will remain", which means two thirds of the population of the world will die. Only a third will be left.

All this is regarding the nations of the world as it says in the commentaries there. However concerning Am Yisroel, chas v'shalom, the situation could be even worse if we don't do Tshuva, as it is written in the Gemorrah (Kesubos 112b, see there). Rashi explains there "when nine parts (of Am Yisroel) will be lost and nothing will be left but a tenth". Meaning that in the selection process that will take place before the arrival of the Moshiach, 90% of Am Yisroel will die chas v'shalom (if they don't do tshuva) and only a tenth will survive.

WHAT CAN WE LEARN FROM ALL OF THIS?

We can see that we are very likely right before a third World War, the like of which has not been known in the past, which will start because of Iran.  As we saw clearly the Prophets and Torah scholars of Israel predicted this thousands of years ago. According to their words as we explained above, the war will develop in 3 stages, one after the other:

Phase 1 - Iran threatens and provokes the king of Saudi Arabia

Phase 2 - King of Saudi Arabia goes to the countries of the West [lead by America] to get advice how to protect themselves

Phase 3 - Iran opens a nuclear war and destroys the Western world.

(It is possible between these phases there will be only a few hours)

WHAT EACH OF US CAN DO

Now everyone has a last opportunity and must choose the direction in which he is headed and decide where his loyalties stand. He has to choose between the good and the bad, between life and death. He has to choose between complete loyalty to the Creator of the World and abandoning himself to the dangers of death, chas v'shalom (if he continues to act according to his desires and follow the vanities of this world).

Whoever wants to save himself, his family and more Jews, the path he should take what he should do to be saved B'Ezrat HaShem is: to accept upon himself Mitzvat Aseh of Tshuva, and make a true chesbon nefesh [accounting] as he never did before, on all his deeds until now  (as many as he can remember) and then:

      1. Regret every sin that he did against the will of G-d (lo taaseh) and every sin he avoided doing, Mitzvos HaShem [mitzvat Aseh]

      2.  Confess with as much tears and sorrow as possible

      3. Accept upon himself that he will be faithful to the Creator, will keep all the mitzvos, keep the ways of HaShem with all his heart and not go back to his evil ways.

      4. Of course, if one fails and falls again, then he must immediately get up and start anew, and also l'asok B'Torah and gmilus chassadim l'shem Shomayim, and he will be saved B'Ezrat HaShem,  and merit to greet Moshiach Tzidkaynu speedily in our time, Amen.
