Israel Book Week Reaches Senatorsby Baruch Gordon
As Israel book week commences, a new initiative has been launched to flood U.S. lawmakers with a book that purports to outline the urgent dangers faced by the Jewish state, including how current American policy may be harming Israel. "One major concern is that it seems many lawmakers don't understand how America is contributing to the threats facing the Jewish state. For example, how U.S. funding, arming, and training of Fatah forces translates into Fatah terrorism against Jews," said Aaron Klein, author of the new book, "The Late Great State of Israel." Klein's book details how U.S. funding to Fatah may fuel Palestinian terror. Klein also argues some of President Obama's foreign policies may be harmful to the Jewish state, such as proposed talks with Iran and the trumpeting of a so-called Arab Peace Initiative. The author, who served as Jerusalem bureau chief for WorldNetDaily.com, pointed to a recent letter from the vast majority of Congress urging Obama to mind the "risks" to Israel in any Middle East peace accord as evidence lawmakers are concerned at the president's Mideast approach. Joseph Farah, CEO of WorldNetDaily, commented: "Though Obama has made it clear U.S. policy in the Middle East will change under his leadership, there's still a chance to maintain a supportive friendship with the Jewish state by targeting Congress." "One effective tool is getting Aaron Klein's important new book into the hands of as many senators and representatives as possible – because this book lays out the stakes. Members of Congress are not inclined to abandon Israel, but they need some ammunition to resist the pressures of the Obama administration." Farah's website launched an initiative allowing those concerned to send their representative and two senators copies of Klein's book. Each copy sent will arrive with a letter from the concerned citizen explaining why the book is important – along with the U.S.'s continued support for the Jewish state. The initiative can be accessed online at www.wnd.com/truthtocongress or orders can be placed by phone at 1-800-496-3266.

Obama, We Can't Hear Youby Baruch Gordon
Below is a picture of my neighbor Menachem's house in the Israeli town of ****, located in Samaria. As you can see, next to his house, a tractor is working to build a new home. Tractor hacks away at the bedrock
When US President Barack Hussein Obama spoke from Cairo on Thursday to announce that Israelis must stop building in the Jewish towns of Judea and Samaria, Menachem tuned in to his radio to listen to the historic speech, but the noise from the construction next door was so loud, that he couldn't hear the radio. So, in the meantime, the construction continues in the settlements, Mr. Obama, because the noise of construction is so great, we can't hear you. This reminds me of the old joke about a man who walked down the street with a banana in his ear. A lady approached him saying, "Hey, you've got a banana in your ear." He answered, "Huh?"
The lady raised her voice, "You've got a banana in your ear!" Still the man couldn't hear her. When the lady began screaming, the man said, "I'm sorry lady. I can't hear you. I've got a banana in my ear."

Danger: Greatest Threat to World Peace Brewingby Yehudah Lev Kay
A great threat to world peace is brewing in Israel: Youth are building hideouts and tree houses. As they say, if the story wasn’t sad, it would be funny. Youth from Kdumim have spent the last two years building wood structures and caves on the side of the hill they’ve named Shvut Ami, Hebrew for “The Return of My People.” Police and IDF forces have destroyed this teenager hideout no less than ten times. It’s like a grown-up game of cops and robbers – the young adults build the site again, the strongest army in the Middle East comes back and knocks it down. Meanwhile, according to U.S. President Barack Obama, Shvut Ami’s tree houses make up one of many “illegal outposts” whose existence represents one of the greatest obstacles to peace in the Middle East. Iran, on the other hand, on its way to gaining nuclear weapons, just needs to be talked to. The Israeli and the American governments need to reorder their priorities, and stop letting the Muslim world focus attention away from their violent designs and intransigence onto peaceful Israeli communities. The “outposts” in Judea and Samaria are not threats to world peace – they are the homes of peaceful Jewish families with children who feel a deep tie to the Biblical Land of Israel. Defense Minister Ehud Barak, the Israeli police, and the IDF need to find better ways of protecting Israel than knocking down these peaceful communities.
