Dr. Navras Jaat Aafreedi, a graduate of the University of Lucknow, was a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Tel Aviv's School of  Historical Studies. He is a member of the Afridi sub-tribe of the Pathans, or Pashtun, who claim descent from the tribe of Ephraim in ancient Israel. He is an Open Space Fellow in Lucknow for the Centre for Communication and Development Studies, Pune (India).
