Support Israel - Leave Europe
Support Israel - Leave Europe

The European Union pumps hundreds of millions of Euros into Israel annually through an array of NGOs in addition to the sums it gives the Palestinian Authority. With over 200 land disputes worldwide, the EU’s constant singling out of Israel is tantamount to state sponsored anti-Semitism.

For decades, the pro-Israel community has sat and watched as the Europeans increase their influence and meddle with the lives and future of the people of Israel. Finally the EU referendum has enabled Israel supporters in the UK and abroad to take a stand against the EU, by voting to leave.

Britain’s exit from the EU will deal a huge blow to the 28-state group by greatly decreasing their budget. A smaller EU budget will mean less money to harm Israel.

Britain gives millions directly to the Palestinian Arabs, more than one-third of which goes straight to the Palestinian Authority. This entity openly admits supporting terrorists whom it hails as heroes for fighting Israel, awarding lifetime payments that rise depending on time spent in jail and the seriousness of crimes. One Hamas master bomber has reportedly been given more than £100,000. Other ‘salaries’ go to the families of suicide bombers and even teenagers involved in the latest upsurge of deadly attacks on Israel.

The PA passes millions on to the infamous Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) – which in turn gives it to convicted terrorists locked up in Israeli prisons and their families. Among them are Amjad and Hakim Awad, cousins who killed Ehud and Ruth Fogel, their two toddlers and baby in their home in 2011. It is estimated that Amjad alone may have been paid up to £16,000 from the fund so far.

Also on the payroll is Abdallah Barghouti, the Hamas bomb-maker who was sentenced to life after attacks in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv during the second intifada. It is thought he has received payments totaling £106,000.

In addition, the European Union has unilaterally built over 1,000 illegal structures on Israeli land across the 'West Bank' in an attempt to establish a de-facto Palestinian State. This is in addition to setting up new European-funded Palestinian communities in direct contradiction of the Oslo Accords and international law. The EU has also paved roads, dug wells, installed electricity pylons and wind turbines without coordinating with Israel who has legal jurisdiction over the land.

These actions are proudly taken by the light of day and the buildings are adorned with European flags to intimidate Israel. Regavim, the Israeli legal watchdog, recently took the EU to court over their illegal colonies, to which they responded by declaring diplomatic immunity.

British MPs have expressed outrage that the EU is using aid money to 'meddle' in a foreign territorial dispute. Israel's Prime Minister recently told foreign journalist that: 'when we take down these illegal constructions, we are then again condemned, so it's a Catch-22... This is a clear attempt to create political realities... I think we need to re-set our relationship with the EU.” Israel’s Deputy Foreign Minister recently stated that “the government of Israel has no intention of giving a green light to the building of illegal structures in a political effort to decide the borders of Israel.”

Again, there are over two-hundred land disputes worldwide' however the European Union has decided to advise its member states to label products made by Israelis in the 'West Bank.' This measure was only taken against Israel and no other country, making it a modern manifestation of state sponsored anti-Semitism.

And lastly, the European Union directly funds hundreds of international organizations and Israeli puppet groups that pursue anti-Israel agendas, from defaming and framing Israeli soldiers to funding and supporting the boycott and lawfare movements. This European influence has become so worrying, that the Israeli Justice Minister is currently pursuing Israeli legislation to curb the amount of funds that Israeli NGOs are permitted to receive in donations from foreign governments.

On Thursday June 23rd, Britons will have the opportunity to not only take back control of their country but also pay back the EU for its destructive policies towards the Jewish State. When June 23rd becomes British Independence day, Britain will continue to be a strong friend and ally of Israel. However with less money to waste and plenty of domestic problems to deal with, the faceless Brussels bureaucrats will think twice before meddling imn Israel’s affairs.

Ari Briggs is the International Director of Regavim, an Israeli NGO that describes its mission as “to ensure responsible, legal, accountable & environmentally friendly use of Israel’s national lands and the return of the rule of law to all areas and aspects of the land and its preservation”.
