Shimon Peres, still an advocate of the messianic “Peace Process,” or alternatively, “The Two-State Solution,” recently pronounced: “There are two things in life that if you really want to achieve, you have to close your eyes a bit, and that is peace and love.”
While Palestinian Arabs as young as 15, hyped up on Abbas’s non-stop diatribes of Jew-hatred and blood-libels against Israelis are stabbing Israelis and ramming them with cars whenever they get a chance, Israel's former president tells us that Palestinian murders just like “love.” Peres explains that we must close our eyes “a bit,” and ignore the fact that Abbas is inciting and idolizing the Palestinian murderers to encourage others to emulate them.
The above-quoted Peres interview shows that the “Peace Process” for leftist Israelis has become a modern-day Golden Calf, akin to false idol-worship, while the “Two-State Solution” support resembles nothing so much as a death cult.
Here are the full excerpts:
Interviewer: “Does Israel have a partner for peace?
Mr. Peres: “We do have a partner. But we have to decide — do we want a partner for peace or a partner for war? I’m speaking about Abu Mazen [Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas]. He talks about peace, he talks against terror. He doesn’t talk the Zionist language, but I don’t expect him to. He has in his police force 15,000 people and they in fact are fighting against terror.”
Interviewer: “Do you think Israel hasn’t done enough to take advantage of this partner for peace?”
Peres: “I’m not going to look at whom to blame. I’m not interested in this. I’m more interested in seeing whom to mobilize for peace. I know peace is hard to achieve. I speak from experience. People come to me and say, ‘You’re right, we need to make peace. You’re right, we need to pay a price.’ But, they say, ‘Why are you paying so much? Why are you so naive to trust them so much?’"
"There are two things in life that if you really want to achieve, you have to close your eyes a bit, and that is peace and love. With eyes wide open, I’m not sure anybody would fall in love, and I’m not sure anybody would make peace. But when you compare what is better, living in peace and living in love, even if it’s not perfect, is by far the right choice."
Analysis based on this interview:
1. Peres pointedly doesn’t say Abbas is a “partner for peace,” Peres just said he is a “partner.” Nevertheless, Peres wants you to close your eyes to his incitement for murders of Jews to reach a messianic “Peace.” Peres wants no reality scenarios where if Israel withdraws from the 'West Bank' it will become an ISIS/Hamas launching pad for katyushas for Tel Aviv’s destruction just like Gaza has become a terrorist rocket base. To take Peres to his logical conclusion, Palestinian Arab rockets into Tel Aviv are “not perfect,” but Israel will be “living in peace and living in love.”
2. Peres is fabricating when he says “He [Abbas] talks about peace, he talks against terror.” The reality is that Abbas is the supreme inciter of Palestinian Arab terror.
Thanks to Palestinian Media Watch, here are two recent examples of Abbas' virulent incitement of Palestinians to murder Jews,
Peres isn’t naïve, he is disconnected from the real-world...
On September 16, 2015, only 4 months ago, he said:
"The Al-Aqsa [Mosque] is ours... and they have no right to defile it with their filthy feet. We will not allow them to, and we will do everything in our power to protect Jerusalem." "We bless every drop of blood that has been spilled for Jerusalem, which is clean and pure blood, blood spilled for Allah, Allah willing. Every Martyr (Shahid) will reach Paradise, and everyone wounded will be rewarded by Allah." [Official PA TV, Sept. 16, 2015, official website of PA Chairman Abbas, Sept. 16, 2015]
And the on November 16, 2015, only 2 months ago, Abbas said the Palestinian murderers were a “peaceful popular uprising.” In full, he said:
PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas: “No one called for this uprising (i.e., Oct. - Nov. 2015 terror campaign) and no one asked for it. It stemmed from the hearts of the young who have seen everything with their own eyes. They have seen the oppression, the settlements and they have seen the attacks by the herds of settlers, and therefore they have done what they have done. We said to everyone that we want peaceful popular uprising, and that’s what this is. That’s what this is. However, the aggression of firing bullets has come from the Israelis.” Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, Nov. 16, 2015.
3. Peres isn’t naïve, he is disconnected from the real-world, and is living in a dream-world where he collects millions of dollars from rich Leftist Jews for talking about "peace" and the "two-state solution" as if they are within reach.
4. The Palestinian police-force isn’t “fighting terror,” they are protecting Abbas from being assassinated or thrown off a high-rise building the way his Fatah friends were thrown off buildings in Gaza. If Israel made Peres’ suicidal peace and left the 'West Bank', Abbas and his band of terrorists would be drawn and quartered by Hamas and ISIS terrorists.
Peres’ prescription for Israelis to “close their eyes a bit” and ignore the Jew-hate and blood-libels is a sure way for Israel to be wiped off the face of the earth. But not to worry, Peres will continue to spew his disconnected vision to rich American Jews so Peres’ Peace Center can continue to fill its coffers to pay for surgery for Palestinian children who are being taught to murder as many Jews as they can so that when they grow up they can set out to kill the Jews who paid for and dedicatedly performed their surgeries.
