Op-Ed: Jews Do Not Need Anyone's Permission to Have Children

Jews never need to apologize for living in the Jewish State. And thriving in it.

The whole world can oppose the Jewish state – they are wrong, and we are right.
Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel ordered his housing minister to reconsider construction plans for more than 20,000 homes in Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem (the "West Bank").

Putting it bluntly, he is wrong and should reconsider his scolding of Housing Minister Uri Ariel for continuing with the Jewish right to build in all areas of Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem.  Nowhere else in the world would one accept racial or religious housing segregation – and surely Israel shouldn’t be the place that does not stand by the right of Jews to live anywhere.

Ze’ev Jabotinsky, the founder of the Revisionist Zionist movement and the ideological forefather of the Likud, whose picture hangs in every Likud building in Israel and at every Likud convention, was known as a “prophet and statesman.” Indeed, so many of his words can be read today and very much adapted and remembered when thinking of tthe political situation surrounding Israel and foreign concerns at the present time:

As he wrote in The Story of the Jewish Legion on how to respond to critics when standing alone:  “Everybody is wrong and you alone are right? No doubt this question springs by itself to the reader's lips and mind. It is customary to answer this with apologetic phrases to the effect that I fully respect public opinion, that I bow to it, that I was glad to make concessions...

"All this is unnecessary, and all this is untrue.

"You cannot believe in anything in the world, if you admit even once that perhaps your opponents are right, and not you. This is not the way to do things. There is but one truth in the world, and it is all yours. If you are not sure of it, stay at home; but if you are sure, don't look back, and it will be your way."

Jews never need to apologize for living in the Jewish State.

Jabotinsky further declared that settlement of the "land" is the only "law". He declared: "There is no justice, no law, and no God in heaven, only a single law which decides and supercedes all---- [Jewish] settlement [of the land]."

After all the suffering the Jewish people have been through – the right to live and build in the Jewish land must not be questioned.  It’s our right. Jabotinsky said it clearly and rightly -  “We hold that Zionism is moral and just. And since it is moral and just, justice must be done, no matter whether Joseph or Simon or Ivan or Achmed agree with it or not.”

“Do not underestimate the power of a right, and do not exaggerate the value of a building that is being constructed. I, too, respect the construction of a building, but woe upon us if we extract the basis of our right to exist from it … A right is worth more than what we have. We mustn’t allow a Christian hand to touch our rights, but first, we must not allow a Hebrew hand to touch our rights, which are eternal and complete and shall not be relinquished. There is no shortcut to Zion, and Zion is ours in its entirety.”

“We (the Jews) constantly and very loudly apologize…. Instead of turning our backs to the accusers, as there is nothing to apologize for, and nobody to apologize to, we swear again and again that it is not our fault… Isn’t it long overdue to respond to all these and all future accusations, reproaches, suspicions, slanders and denunciations by simply folding our arms and loudly, clearly and calmly answer with the only argument that is understandable and accessible to this public: ‘Go to Hell’?”

The newest mandate which Jews in Israel haven’t received is that they need the worlds’ permission to have babies.  These “settlements” which the world media now is in an uproar about are the continuation of natural population growth – as Jews indeed have babies. It’s the Jewish right.

Many in the world stand against Israel – and yet, thankfully, the Jewish state continues to exist and thrive.

The whole world can oppose the Jewish state – they are wrong, and we are right.

But for once, this week at the United Nations, truth was spoken on Israel. With all the things going on in the world, a translator who slipped and spoke when she thought her microphone was off was caught saying "I mean, I think when you have five statements, not five, like a total of ten resolutions on Israel and Palestine, there's gotta be something, c'est un peu trop, non? [It's a bit much, no?] I mean I know. ... There's other really bad s*** happening, but no one says anything, about the other stuff."

It seems that when it comes to the Jewish state, there are different rules.  However, as the Housing Minister declared tonight, “the nobleman from overseas” can’t help…”we plan to keep on going.”

The Jewish people live.
