      Op-Ed: The Diplomatic Paramedic

This man can revive any dead or deadly deal and terrorist as long as he thinks will help him propel his fantasies.

Have you noticed that no matter whom you elect into government you always get Shimon Peres? Whether right wing, left wing, coalition, who cares, Shimon is always there.

Shimon, who orchestrated the Oslo Accords, who armed the so-called Palestinians, who planted a mole in the group that spawned Yigal Amir -the shooter in the Rabin’s assassination.

You remember Rabin, the one who opposed Shimon’s desire to relinquish the Golan to Syria. Yes, Shimon Peres, the one who after his passing will become the next deity of Israel’s left. He is already glorified for being Israel’s number one diplomat. And what a diplomat he is.

Shimon has made more deals with the Vatican and relinquished more of Jerusalem to idolatry than King Ahab. But that’s not his real claim to fame.

It’s not his book ‘The new Middle East’ where he invents a fantasy land where Arabs love Jews and ‘allow’ us to thrive in our ‘land’, you know, from Hedera-to-Gedera-land (also referred to as peacenowland). No, that is not his claim to fame.

Shimon is a diplomatic paramedic. He can revive any dead or deadly deal and terrorist as long as he thinks will help him propel his fantasies. It all started back when Israel engaged the PLO in Lebanon in the early 80’s. It was a difficult war. Muslims implemented suicide bombers for the first time and the body bags with young Jewish soldiers kept on coming.

As careful as Israel wanted to be in regards to the Christian Lebanese civilians, it had no choice but to bomb Beirut until the rats where forced out of their hiding places.

Thousands of so-called Palestinians surrendered, including arch-terrorist Yasser Arafat. They cut a deal with Israel and were placed on boats and shipped out to Tunisia who took them in with open arms. Arafat, broke and fractioned, was about to disappear forever into the annals of history as a dirty terrorist who accomplished nothing but the spilling of innocent blood.

Our paramedic had a brilliant idea. What if we bring Arafat back to Israel, build an army for him, give him autonomy over parts of Israel, and seek international support?
But hold on! Our paramedic had a brilliant idea. What if we bring Arafat back to Israel, build an army for him, give him autonomy over parts of Israel, and seek international support? Shimon’s light bulb went on so bright and hot that it toasted whatever brain cells he had. And off he went, accompanied by Yossi Beilin -the statesman with the forked tongue, Uri Savir –a leftist hallucinator, and a few other delinquents. Off to where? Tunisia, of course!

Yithak Shamir was Prime Minister and there was a law in Israel that forbade anyone from engaging in diplomatic affairs with members of any terrorist organization – that included the PLO. But Peres is above the law, of course.

Well, you know how the story continued. Rabin was killed, Arafat died of AIDS and the terrorists Peres armed became our worst nightmare and have since murdered thousands of Jews. Still, Israelis are so brainwashed they love watching Shimon at their parades and celebrations. You see tears of joy in the eyes of the spectators as if their own ‘grandpa’ was there, donning a nylon yarmulke, smiling for the cameras, representing the entire Jewish nation.

But I don’t’ care about Shimon. I do care about Netanyahu releasing murderers in exchange for nothing, or our police beating up Jewish settlers while Arab fanatics rally for Morsi in the streets of Nazareth and Haifa.

And above all, I care about a true Jewish hero who is suffering daily and undeservingly:

27 years. More than 10,000 days, Jonathan Pollard still lingers inside an American jail cell. No other person in the history of the US has spent this much time for a similar offense than Jonathan. What makes him so special? So deserving of this unusual and cruel punishment? Why would every US president, including Carter, Reagan, papa Bush, Clinton, Bush junior,  and Hussein Obama have continued to ignore his pleads for a pardon?

We don’t know why Shimon has acted as if he cares about Pollard yet not managed to get him released from jail. No matter how many Muslim terrorists and murderers he gets released, Jonathan is made to suffer and wait.

But the real culprit is the same that makes Shimon an Israeli ‘hero’, the real culprit is our sheer ignorance and our apathy to the truth.

The least you could do is once a week call the White House and demand Jonathan’s release. (202) 456-1414
