Yehudah GlickThe writer is Director of Overseas Programming of Yeshivat Otniel, where he studied when it was established over 25 years ago and has an M.A. degree from Touro College. He made Aliyah to Israel with his family in 1974, is chairman of the Temple Mount Heritage Foundation.
The Book of Judges is the second book of the Early Prophets, after the Book of Joshua, and is about the people of Israel's attempt to find leadership, after Joshua's death. It is not an easy task, and the book traces the ups and downs of various leaders, called "judges" who often attain miraculous victories over some of Israel's enemies, but never quite rule over all the tribes.
